Banijay Group has released its financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting a 16.9% year-on-year revenue increase. The operator also announced the appointment of Antoine Jouteau as the new CEO of Banijay Gaming, effective September 1.
Financial Performance in H1 2026
Group revenue reached €2.58bn in the first half of the year. Sports betting and gaming revenue rose 10.5% to €1.2bn. Sportsbook revenue increased 8.6% to €609.6m on a pro-forma basis, while combined revenue from games, poker, and turf grew by 18.3% on the same metric.The World Cup generated significant engagement for the Betclic, Tipico, and Admiral brands. Unique active players increased by 75% compared to the 2022 tournament, and turnover doubled. Gross gaming revenue (GGR) rose by 88%.
CEO François Riahi noted that the tournament contributed to "unprecedented player acquisition and engagement," though H1 results only reflect a partial contribution as the event spans into Q3.
Leadership Changes at Banijay Gaming
Antoine Jouteau replaces the previous leadership at Banijay Gaming. He previously served as CEO of leboncoin, a French online marketplace for real estate and automotive industries. Nicolas Béraud remains non-executive chairman, and Joachim Baca stays as non-executive vice chairman.The appointment follows recent acquisitions, including Tipico Group and JOA Groupe. Jouteau stated his priority is to meet teams across Europe to understand their specific strengths while preserving brand uniqueness. He added that the company will focus on "growth through execution" and "growth through innovation."
